Poker hasn’t always been associated with physical fitness, but the tournament game in particular can require extremely long periods of concentration.

Owing to the extraordinary size of some fields, the larger online events can comfortably run for longer than 12 hours. In the live arena, the most prestigious events can require a week of 12-hour days at the table.

Sessions like those require stamina and a player’s fitness is increasingly a factor in their success at large field tournaments. Poker is more than just a mind game; it can also test your body’s limits too.
