Play on the Mobile poker app and win cash!

Win a share of $10,000 every day from July 7-31 simply by playing on the PokerStars Mobile app! All you have to do is earn 10 VIP Players Points (VPPs) on your tablet or phone and you’ll be entered into a daily sweepstake. The first two players drawn each day get to choose a prize of either an iPad 4 or $1,000 cash. There are also $100 prizes for the next 30 players drawn, and $10 for another 500 players!

Reaching 10 VPPs in a day is easy. Here are some examples of typical real money play that will help you earn the required amount:
    • Play for about thirty minutes at a No Limit Hold’em Zoom table, at stakes of $0.10/$0.25
    • Play two $15 turbo 6-max Sit & Go's
    • Play nine $3.50 turbo heads-up Sit & Go's
    • Play The Hot $22 tournament
    • Play for about two hours at a No Limit Hold’em table, at stakes of $0.05/$0.10
    • Play for about thirty minutes at a No Limit Hold’em table, at stakes of $0.50/$1

We will also soon be introducing a feature on the Mobile app where you can track how many VPPs you have earned during each session of play.

How to play the PokerStars Mobile $250K Giveaway

The PokerStars Mobile app is the best way to play poker anywhere. To be eligible for the giveaway, simply play real money games at PokerStars using the PokerStars Mobile app and earn the required 10 VPPs during any of the promotional days, from July 7-31.

Please Note: A ‘day’ counts as anytime between 00:00 ET-23:59 ET, and all 10 VPPs must be earned during this time (VPPs in a tournament are credited after elimination, therefore this must be within the eligible time period). Earning the required VPPs makes you eligible for the next day’s sweepstake only. Cash prizes will be credited to your account within 24 hours. The VPP counter displayed on tables you are playing at in the PokerStars Mobile app updates in increments of five, therefore you may have earned more than shown. Go to the Cashier to see an accurate VPP count. The top two players in each draw will automatically be credited with the $1,000, and will need to contact Support (see below) if they would like an iPad 4 instead.

    PokerStars Mobile: Poker anywhere, anytime!

If you haven’t started playing on the PokerStars Mobile app yet, this is the ideal time to start. It’s free to download, and allows you to play the same games you are used to, including ring games, tournaments and Zoom, anywhere you go. The app has been optimized to work perfectly for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, and it includes all the same great software features you’d expect from PokerStars. You also play against the same player pool as on the desktop client, so you’ll always be able to find a game.

Contact support@pokerstars.com if you have any questions about the PokerStars Mobile $250K Giveaway or how to download the Mobile app.

I'm taking up this offer and combining it with the LIMIT deposit promotion. I plan on playing 100 Limit STTs on my phone without a HUD and maybe win a BOTP Leaderboard place into the bargain.

I'll be re depositing on Monday and getting back to the $11 timed games, so this comes perfectly timed for me. Possibility of $1k just by playing normally. Sweet!

Such nice prizes to be won, I'm so tempted to give it a try at least once or twice.

Not sure how I want to go about getting the 10VPPs though ... It can be a bit of a disadvantage to play Zoom without a HUD and/or notes, so I'm wondering if might be better for me to play tournaments to get the 10VPPs?

Just checked the number of VPPs we get for playing the Sunday Storm, and it's 5.5VPPs ... so we'd have to play like $20 of tournaments to get the 10VPPs I guess?

Wow, maybe I should stick to zoom after all

And then there's the days we choose to play too - probably weekdays'll have fewer entries than weekends, especially Sundays?

Hmmm ... have to think about this some more

I play Zoom regularly on my phone and yes, if you've gotten used to using an HUD and can't live without it, it may be challenging (aka tilt-inducing) for you. Because live stats aren't available, I play lower stakes where I feel comfortable playing without an HUD. For me, that's FR NL5. To get 10 VPPs, I'd have to play 4 tables for about an hour. I usually only play 2 Zoom tables at one time but am used to playing up to 8 FL tables (hooray for Fixed Limit Hold'em Week!). However, that's on a full size screen so I'm not sure how 4 tables will work out for me. I know that it obviously only shows one table at a time and that you can swipe to switch tables (or use the buttons across the top left showing your holdings for each table) but I'm just wondering how frantic 4 Zoom tables could be on the mobile app.

I don't get how this promotion works... I'm positive that I got way more than 10Vpps for the 7th of july, but there's no email or any notification that I've reached that... this should be standard, isn't it? It made me wonder whether they clocked my vpps or not, whether they recognized that I played using my mobile not on desktop, and whether I played ay the right time or not... the time difference can be quite confusing after all....

And it's already the 9th now, yet there hasn't been any information regarding yesterday's sweepstake, what time it was held, who won, whether I won any or lost.... C'mon Stars, you should handle your promotions better...

I've been wondering the same thing - did i win? who won? when was it? did i get enough VPPs on my device? did they register?

Some information somewhere would be nice

Hi guys, As it's not a PokerSchoolOnline promotion we won't be able to help you much with it either. Like any other PokerStars promotion you should always contact support@pokerstars.com and one of the Support Team there will be happy to assist you with your query. Usually you will get a response within 2-3 hours. Cheers, Raiser umbup:

Not often we get to use the smiley with the phone avi - nice touch iggyo lol

Guess that's more what I meant to say ... that I don't have a big enough skill edge at 10nl to play there without a HUD (when most everyone else is probably playing with either a HUD or notes). So that if I wanted to play without a HUD I'd have to drop down to 5nl.

Yesterday I got the idea to try and win a ticket to a $22 tourney via satties, but since I'm not great at tourneys, especially turbos, I blew through like $6 and still didn't get a ticket. So that was a bomb

My latest idea is to maybe try playing on my iPad, *in front* of my desktop, so I'll have access to player HUD stats, notes, and color coding if need be. Which kind of defeats the purpose of playing on a mobile device

Think I'm gonna wait and see if they report how many people are qualifying for the promotion each day though, to see how good the chances are? Just because I'm more focused on trying to get better at 10nl. But it's always fun to take part on a promo if it's not too much trouble

Thanks for the idea of dropping down stakes Lester

And GL everybody with scoring a prize!!

Just curious how you intend to implement this. You'd need pretty quick fingers/reflexes to pull up stats on individual players as you're playing, especially if you're multi-tabling.

Oh yeah, re: the multitabling Zoom on iPad ... I tried 2-tabling a while ago, which is how many tables I usually play on my desktop, and wasn't able to do it for longer than about half an hour? Because the software will only show 1 table at a time, and prioritizes them according to how many players are left to act before it's your turn. So with the fast-forward button, there's a constant sliding back and forth of the two tables - sometimes several times over pre-flop if somebody slows down at one table, and then somebody slows down at the other one - which for me got to be a bit dizzying. So that's why I was thinking of trying to 1-table 10nl if anything. And I'm used to looking for peoples' names while I play, to check the number of tables they're playing. And I'm used to looking for peoples' names while away from the tables, in my HUD. So, since I'm used to doing that, it shouldn't take longer than maybe like 8 seconds if need be (like if we see a flop)? But I'll bet that will get dizzying too after a while, so ... maybe I won't bother ... Such nice prizes though Please let us know how it goes for you and if you win a prize - GL!!

I was in the same boat and got this reply from support

"Please note that there will not be any posting of the daily winners on our website or blog page. All winners will be contacted via email advising them of their prizes. In order to receive these emails, players must have activated the congratulatory emails feature from the PokerStars lobby. You can make sure you have this option switched on by selecting:

                        'Options → Receive Congratulatory Emails'"

Quick update, I received another email from PokerStars.

"After further consideration we have decided that in the upcoming days we will be adding lists of the sweepstakes winners to our website and this list will be updated about once per week. At this time we have no further details but please keep checking the website for updates.

Concerning the times of each drawing, the drawings will normally take place about 36-48 hours after each day ends, but there is no exact time for this."
