  • Cash Game Exam

Hello, I've just spent a couple of hours going thru each of the lessons in the cash game section and then attempted the exam, which i promptly failed. During the exam there were several questions where I was certain of the material but had no option but to guess because of the poor wording. For example, the table on bankroll management gives three columns depending on if you are a recreational, serious, or professional player. The test simply asks how much money is needed to play certain stakes, it doesn't specify which of the three options it refers to. Another question refers to outs didn't even have the correct answer available, in my humble opinion. I am a retired air traffic controller and generally do fairly well with written exams and the like, particularly when I am prepared, as i was today. While reviewing the material, I completed every mini-test, all in the last few hours. Any suggestions? How is everyone else getting thru this thing. I don't even know which ones i got wrong and have no idea what to do to improve my score.

    Hello newfiejoke

Welcome to PokerSchoolOnLine, We have some great features here and this link will help you find your way around.

Regarding your specific concerns, as a new player taking the cash game quiz, i think it would be reasonable to assume that the question regarding bankroll management was aimed at the recreational player, You may be aware that the site has recently undergone a major update, and some glitches are yet to be fixed, including the wording of some of the quiz questions, including the question regarding the number of outs. Hopefully this will be resolved in the very near future.
Answers to quiz questions are not available.

If you have any other concerns please post them here and we will try to help.

    Regards

My best advise is study again and try again the test wont be exactly the same anyway
And noone can tell you which you missed. Its always been this way (i guess to eliminate the possibility of sharing the answers)
May the tinfoil protect you. MT

I am also experiencing problems with this. Like Newfiejoke, I've also studied the various sections several times and got 100% in their respective sections but despite having tried the test now 3 or 4 times, I can't get past 8 out of 20 right. It's SO frustrating when you don't have any idea at all which ones you're getting wrong. I appreciate they can't give you the right answer(s) but couldn't it tell you which questions you got wrong so at least you could revise those particular sections again? It's like banging your head against a brick wall atm - at least that's how I feel, despite walking through the first part of the quiz fairly easily.

        Thanks, Nick
