If I read this right I'm to believe that if im dealt into ANY hand from 79,700,000,000 to 80,000,000,000 I receive a prize depending on how many fpps i've earned during that session?
And bigger prize if i win the hand ?
Will there be multiple prizes ? Or just one prize per person?

I think it's each millionth hand, say:

      79,701,000,000

Did you take time to read?

        It's every 1,000,000 hand
You have to be playing at a cash game table
And it's based on the number of VPP's accumulated while sitting at THAT table

I see it is lottery time again on Pokerstars.

Thanks for the advice though PSO -

BUY MORE LOTTERY TICKETS! Not up to the usual standard of poker education we get here.

(play more tables, for longer periods, play looser and more aggressively, play big pots, pay more rake, earn more VPPs if you hit the lottery hand you get maximum value)

Not that I will complain if I get dealt one of these hands - I will shove my 2 dollars for all it is worth and give the finger to all the railers who turn up at the table to ask for a handout. I will not change my game at all, although I might switch some of my STT roll over to cash tables.

              Good luck all

Oh yes - just remembered - was there not some German duo who played some clever scammy shenanigans last time that got a lot of criticism? Was the loophole closed?

                  Yes

                  Why play the lottery?
Peeps make me laugh, why would you rush into this promotion?
Just play what you normally play and if it happens, great
Remember bankroll management, position, starting hands, etc etc

"(play more tables, for longer periods, play looser and more aggressively, play big pots, pay more rake, earn more VPPs if you hit the lottery hand you get maximum value)"

NO need for any of that
There will be plenty of fishes and donks in the sea to take advantage of
Just play your normal game (unless you're a fish, then maybe you should learn to play first....LOL)

                    I guess it's 24-tabling time!

By the way, why was the base prize lowered from $50 to $20? Not only that, but it's harder to get VPPs now, which renders the "bonus for VPPs earned in the last 50 hands" obsolete for micro stakes players. If the milestone hands hit at higher stakes, the base prize won't matter much anyways because they pay more rake and thereby earn more VPPs that $20 or $50 more or less won't matter much. And a majority of Stars' rake is paid by micro stakes players anyways. Raise it up to $50 and you should see more action in the micros.

I won't be partaking in this promotion as I'm a STT player, I don't like the volatility of cash especially at micro stakes but I'm curious how this will work if no Zoom are allowed?

Every hand has a unique number including Zoom and I reckon over half of all hands played on the site will be in Zoom format. Are they just going to skip these? Will they pay out on either side? What if the 80 Billionth is a Zoom hand?

                        Curious.

If a zoom or tournament hand is a millionth hand, it will be the next cash game hand that's awarded for the milestone. Let's say that hand 79,701,000,000 takes place at a zoom table, then the first cash game hand that's dealt after this will become hand #79,701,000,000.

As for the promotion itself, I refer to my previous post.

                            why are zoom hands discounted?

I think it makes a lot of sense, actually. Those who are not comfortable playing zoom for various reasons are at a huge disadvantage. It might also be a practical thing since you're changing tables every hand (and only the last 50 hands at THAT TABLE counts towards your bonus) and also, the game is stopped if you hit a milestone hand.

"But Fezkpransen, wut abuot dose whu cant multitalbe dey r at a disaddvaatnege 2". That's true, but we have to draw the line somewhere, and multitabling is a natural product of the environment the game is played in.
