  • New Poker Show..

I was watching FX tonight, ( not sure what FX stands for...but I admit I was watching Deuce Bigelow anyway...a promo for a new show starting in the spring caught my attention:

"LUCKY" is the name of it. Promo says: Lucky has just won the World Series of Poker, and has run on some bad luck. yada yada. The next scenes show him trying to bum money off friends..like about $2500.

I have NO idea if this show will be any good, but it might be worth catching the first episode or two to see the poker action if there is any.

So, if you guys see promos about it and when it is airing, please post!!

    Thanks in advance

Ok, I went to GOOGLE and typed in Television Networks. Scrolled down til I found something that looked like it might have a listing. Found FX and clicked on it. On that homepage, I clicked on Schedule. and there it was!! LUCKY!! Even had a video clip of the same promo I saw on tv tonight.

SO, if you are interested, check it out. It looks interesting...

      FX Means . . .

FX strictly means "effects", as in "Special Effects." By extension, it has come to refer to all Special Effects used in the movie industry.

My son works for a major "FX Company" and they use the term all the time.

Yes, BB07 is right about FX, but in this case it's the name of a cable TV channel. It's Fox's cable sister channel. Just like NBC has MSNBC and ABC has ABC Family on cable, Fox has FX, FXM (Fox Movie) and FX Family.

        Peace, Starrs

PS, thanks for the heads-up about the show. I like John Corbett.
