  • Most comfortable first hand UTG to start MTT.

Just for laughs, I've noticed that being dealt 10 5 off, as my first hand in a MTT mostly UTG or UTG+1 has a nice calming effect for me.

I'm interested if any of you have a similar feeling at the start of a MTT and what hands "conjur" up this feeling.

    SL.

    NLHE....for clarity.

Give me AA and I'm a happy camper.

I normal settle after I win my first pot rather than being dealt a hand.

Anything but JJ or TT. I always have trouble with those in early position. I'll play them, but I'm not exactly loving life.

72 off is always nice as a first hand UTG, since I don't really have to think on what to do with it...
          But snap shove it obviously.

Folding is never calming for me, so I will have a top 2% hand get one caller and take it down with a cbet on a dry flop. That is the closest to calm I will be or would want to be.
