  • A belated half year report

So, as I prepare to take a week long holiday to one of the Spanish Islands, I thought I would make a thread to assess the year to date. Its not quite a half year report, its a little over that, and truth be told it feels like a lifetime since I started playing online poker, but I thought I would do this anyway to give myself some pause for thought. I'm incredibly hard on myself when I do things I think are wrong while playing poker, but I have turned a profit so far. I've split my play among three different buy-in levels so far this year and it will probably be the 3 levels I will play this year as I dont plan on going to 25NL anytime soon until I can trust myself to play a lot better. To the graphs: 2NL Zoom I'm quite happy with this graph. Fat value abounds at this level. It can be very frustrating at times. People can turn up with anything. That said, ABC is the way to make profit, you dont need to get fancy and you can make a profit. 5NL Zoom 5nl Zoom started out great, I was winning stack after stack to start off with, I never felt unbeatable and that is just as well because downswings followed, largely breakeven for periods, before it ended on a downswing and I swapped out 5nl Zoom for 10nl Regular tables. 10NL Regular Speed tables This is a work in progress, being that a lot of my volume is taking place here, and while the initial figures are good there is going to be hard times involved. I will need to redouble my efforts when I return from my holiday. Given this is my second year playing poker, and I only actually started putting in volume this January, I shouldnt be as hard on myself as I am. I put myself through mental torture when I lose a stack. I feel like a pro when I take a stack. I need to learn to master my emotions. I posted in the Jared Tendler thread and talked about burnout. I think I am feeling that at the minute. I have played 140k hands this year already which considering I maybe played 10k in 8 months to the end of last year is a huge increase. My holiday is coming at a good time. Good luck at the tablesumbup:
