  • Dutch VPP Challenge Ring game and Tournament rankings

since i wasnt allowed to post this in news from pokerschool and pokerstars section i decided this was the best spot for it.

Win cash by earning as many VPPs as you can!

Are you ready for the VPP Challenge? It’s a new ring game and tournament challenge where you can win a share of $40,000 for earning the most VIP Player Points (VPPs) in July. You can even earn VPPs faster by playing Zoom ring games and tourneys, and by multi-tabling. It’s one of the biggest and most exciting promotions for players in the Netherlands this year. Don’t miss out on claiming serious bragging rights over your countrymen!
How to Play the VPP Challenge

To turn VPPs into cash prizes, you’ll need to opt-in first by registering for a dummy tournament. You can find this in the PokerStars lobby under ‘Tourney’ > ‘Regional’, listed as ‘VPP Challenge Opt-in Tournament’, and it will be open for registration from June 21-July 7. Note that this is not an actual tournament, and no action will take place. By registering, you are making sure you will participate in the VPP Challenge.

The challenge is split into two leagues which run from July 1-31: The Ring Game Challenge League and the Tournament Challenge League. At the conclusion of the challenge (July 31), the top 250 highest VPP earners in each league will take a share of $15,000 in cash. Exact prizes will be determined by the number of VPPs earned by all players taking part- see example below. Players are eligible to compete in both leagues.

An additional $5,000 will also be shared by the top 25 finishers in each league, awarded as listed below. Plus, the winner of each league will be rewarded with a World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) ticket worth $1,050! Keep track of where you stand in the rankings here.

    1st - $1000
    2nd - $600
    3rd - $400
    4-5 - $250
    6-10 - $200
    11-15 - $150
    16-20 - $100
    21-25 - $50

The total number of VPPs earned by the top 250 players in the ring game league is 1,000,000, and you have earned 5,000 VPPs individually. Your prize would be calculated as follows:
    (5,000 VPPs/1,000,000 VPPs) x $15,000 = $75

    Please Note:

VPPs earned at tournament tables will only count towards the Tournament League. VPPs earned at ring game tables will only count towards the Ring Game league.Heads-up tournaments, and Home Games tournaments or ring games do not count towards either of the leagues. Only players in the Netherlands who have registered for the dummy tournament are eligible to receive cash rewards. Cash prizes will be credited on August 2. The league rankings show accurate VPP scores, but are at least 48 hours behind.

Now my question to anyone here is is this even worth it to go for??

And if you would go for it what would you play? for both ring games and tournament/SnGs (in the micro and low stakes games)

i thought it was cool the moment i saw it but i dont think it will be easy or moderate even to get in the 250 of either rankings idk but thats why im asking for the input.

i allready saw adohole signed up aswell and also Team Pokerstars Richard Tzen1 Veenman

      Hi Prohorse,

I did registered also but personally I don't think any of the micro stakes can end high enough.
But it's free to register so why not.
      Bracelet Winner
