Here is a thread on RGP about Pineapple.

They are talking about some basic starting hands.

You could also go to google and search the archives. Probably try to do the same at twoplustwo also.

Cheers guy's - had a play with it, but it's not my cuppa tea. Too many people playin against the odds and it's a bad beat city game.

It's basically hold'em but your dealt 3 hole cards and discard one after the flop - i think they call it crazy pineapple (the name suits the game).

I came up with the strategy that with the 3 2 card combinations you get dealt in the hole, if 2 of them exceeded my normal holdem starting requirements then i would enter the pot. I alway's kept hold of the highest hand after the flop as opposed to drawing to the nuts.

Everybody seems to hold any suited cards and they chase hard to the river. I came out of 2 sessions about $40 down. But the reason for not playin is there is very little action, alot of limping, checkin & callin.

        Thx for the input.

        Regards
        HH

It's "Pineapple" if you discard one before the flop.
It's "Crazy Pineapple" if you discard after the flop.
They play it in some of the Seattle area casinos.
If you want a laugh go to Missoula Montana and
say you want to play it in the dealers choice 1-5
game at the Oxford. You'll give those old boys
          heart attacks!! ...aloha
