QT off or suited are dangerous to play
same applies to KT QT K9 J9 Q9 even AT or AJ is some what dangerous to play for similar reasons
If you dont get a straight the hand could lead to serious trouble

to win you need to either flop a stright or at least an opened str8 draw
with a flush or str8 draw you are typically only 25% to win
all that said you were getting nice pot odds preflop and nice pot odds on the flop

you did nothing wrong maybe your last river bet was too small you failed to get one players last 52 cents
To me you shoulda got some of that failing to get extra value is a common mistake in poker
