Sometimes you'll miss a bet, sure, but it's OK to miss a bet. Poker is an art form, of course, but sometimes you have to sacrifice art in favour of making a profit.
            -- Mike Caro

I have been trying to figure out how to put this as a signature for last couple of days. I said this to the guy next to me during my bad run of cards at the casino Friday night:

"You know your having a bad night when seven deuce rivers you" - me

And yeah I really did get rivered by 72o... good times. I was able to fold my pair atleast.

Not sure this isan exact quote but it goes something like, " I'd bust my gramdma if she sat down at the table with me" Doyle Brunson love that quote (and sentiment)

wasn't from a poker player, from another card game, but definitely applies...

I don't know about favorite but this one still makes me lol. I was playing in a live tournament, still early in the event, and a poker author walks up to my table and tells a friend of his who was sitting next to me that he's out. The friend asks what happened, and he replies "I got all my money in with the worst hand, and it held up."
