OK,I'll admit I'm wet behind the ears here, but I couldn't believe what I saw today, and thought I would ask you good fine people if this was par for the course.
Problem though is I'm not sure about the game specifics,as I closed the window in error!
I know it was for real money.I think $.01 or $.10 buy-in.It was NLHE,and I'm pretty certain it was a field of 360 players.I had noticed that there were about 100 people eliminated by then.(From the tournament page)
Anyways, there were 9 players, and it was in the early rounds. It happened just as I logged on to the table.
    This was before the flop.
One player shoved all in..........and 6 more called.
7 all in on the same hand,pre-flop.
5 were eliminated, and the best hand was 2 pair-Kings & eights.I think all of the losers had 2 pair also, but eights with a lower 2nd pair.
Things still move too fast for me at the tables, yet,so I'm sorry,I can't remember the flop, turn or river.
    Your thoughts?

early in tournies, especially the micro stakes and even more in the freerolls, you'll see lots of maniac play early. The way to beat them is to wait them out, as they'll give their chips away as fast as they get them. Get a premium hand, then have them double you up.

Those types of players will also NOT be winning money long term.
