    Soon I will hire a new internet service that is 5 times more cheap that my current connection, but with only 500 MB of transfer, after the speed is reduced to 64 Kbps. Before hire this service, I have been analyzing the speed of download and upload that consume PokerStars, and I thought that would be interesting share this analysis. I used DuMeter to analize the speed transfer. There are 3 principal windows that consume speed in Pokerstars: when we open the Lobby, to keep the Lobby opened and play in the table of the tourney. The opening of Lobby consume 0,12 MB of download and 0,01 MB of upload. Keep the Lobby opened without navegation consume 0,01 Kbps of download and upload. When the Lobby is minimized don't consume transfer. It is a transfer of 0,035 MB per hour of download and upload, a total of 0,07 MB per hour, but it can be more when we are navigating for the Lobby. I played on a freeroll for 12 minutes to test the transfer, and during the tourney I used 0,29 MB (290 KB) of download and 0,07 MB (70 KB) of upload, this means a consume of 0,40 Kbps of download and 0,10 Kbps of upload, or 1,45 MB of download per hour and 0,35 MB of upload per hour. Logically, each table opened use an extra 45 MB of download per hour and 0,35 MB of upload per hour. If you play 2 hours per day, with only 1 table opened, you will use 87 MB of download and 21 MB of upload. The navigation for the Lobby can be around 20 extra MB per month. This is a total of around 130 MB per month. This analysis confirm that any moderm connection can to be good to use PokerStars with a maximum efficiency.
