  • Calling a raise with suited connectors

I have called raises with suited connectors and pairs for so long it has become automatic. After playing in the Pso league for awhile, it may be a mistake to do this in a tournament format. It seems to burn away more chips than it is worth. Perhaps it is a leak that needs to be plugged.

Suited connectors are good hands, as you have alot of outs dependin on the how the flop goes with flushes, straights, etc. So i would say depending on how much the raise is to you along with what position you are in should help determine whether you make the call or not. Also, you want to take into account the way the raisers playing style is and your chip size compared to the raiser.

If you are short stacked and someone raises to you and you make the call with the suited connectors. Be prepared for the raiser to make a move on you on the flop for all of your chips (pushing you all in).
