  • I can't win

I played aggressively preflop and post flop against a loose passive callingstation in a sit and go and lost with set over set

i had 10 10 he had AA............ I was in the middle, hijack(him with AA) calls and button calls

    flo comes A 3 8 i bet 1/2 pot he just calls

turn is a 10 i shove he calls

can't i stop running bad? i mean set over set.......... my AA has been getting cracked by 76o left and right past weekend, my AA got strucked by sets yesterday playing SNG

and when i really need chips AGAIN i constantly run into AA when i really need them...

    what is wrong with me...

final table in january.... was that just pure luck for me? i can't win without luck? i feel stupid now.... should i quit for good? .............

variance is a beech and downswing can last a frigging life time.
why quit ? if you enjoy playing the game and have the %s to back your hand up in the long run they will work in your favour we all forget the times we hit runner runner or 2 card outs to win the pot but when we get sucked out we remember these for weeks and we assume it is happening alot of the time..

just remember every blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while...
stick to your game let your hands do the talking

remindes me of the ugliest hand i've ever friend sat right next to me, just getting to the table, he's UTG his first hand and raises to 20....flat call.....flat call......

        Flop 3 handed .........

        3 J 7..... friend pushes remaining 80$ IN .....CALL.

        Friend : pocket 7's

        player 1 : pocket J's

        player 2 : pocket 3's

Jacks won. i have only seen this one time. set set set flop.........all in

        what would u do?

            2/5 cash game....

            • #7
with 3 callers you would have to consider that they have flat called with some kind of pocket pair or ace and good kicker so im guessing if he was 1st to act unless the others guys were in the blinds i would have made a continuation bet of $20 on the flop and woudnt be folding to an all in so i guess he got unlucky to run into jj although at them stakes i dont know why jj is flat calling pre flop

Last hand I played the dude knocked me out with bottom versus top pair, donk hit trips on the river. Fairly standard for my horrible run on this site. Variance like I've never heard of. Two month downswing and I'm about ready to cash out and forget this BS site. Why isn't there another with the great variety of games this one has? Don't whine about 10s losing against Aces, that's the way it should be - the best hand holding up. Something I don't know anything about right now.

its just a bunch of rigged crap is what i say my KK gets killed by ace Rag QQ beat by Ace Rag when and ace has been on the flop a million times before hand but yet its the only single high card thats on the frggin table? its bs

everyone has AQ AJ A 10 i Have KK who wins?

They all split the pot some kinda magic bs im the only on out an ace is the first card on the flop

                            @ HipHop

AK and AQ are both drawing hands.

You are UTG+1 and a 7x raise this early in position and this early in the tournament and with the blinds so low, invites too many callers and there will always be one willing to go all in and double up on you with a decent hand.

Off course your hand dominated his and you are praying it will hold but if a Queen appears the roles are reversed.

The lessons are not to overcook any hand in early position, not to put your tounament life at risk so early in the tournament and not just to look at the lovely AK and think that you should win the hand of right. Take a few rounds to get a read on who you are up against, choose your starting hands accordingly and wait until you are in a spot where the odds favour you not just winning the hand but getting the most value that you can.
