    Good News- PSO Convention

Ok, Members here is the news that you have all been waiting for.

The No Limit Hold'em PSO tournament on the 9th January will be a $100 buy-in with a $20 entry fee.

I have made arrangements for all members who are participating in the tournament to meet up in the theatre at 5.00pm and register with me for the event.
I will have a prior list of members who will be playing but this will just be a final confirmation of number and taking the buy-in etc.

For any PSO members that are bringing a guest to Tunica, It is acceptable for the guest to attend the seminar. There will be a $25 charge but this will include brunch before the seminar.

Remember to complete the registration form on this forum and email the details to me

    Regards

    Tina

If i have 100 school members listed to play in the event before January then i will have to speak to the powers that be and see if they can accomodate more.

If i do not have 100 then you will be able to register when we meet before the event starts at 6pm.

To date i have approx 52 members that have said they are coming to Tunica.

Also Goddess, tell your new shift manager Mr and Mrs PokerPages will buy him a drink if he gives you the night off...........LOL

Will players without prior registration be able to sign to play at 5pm on Jan. 9th, 2003?

If you already have 100 players registered before the 9th of Jan, will the tournament still be open for more PSO players to play?

Thank you all SO much for the kind words !!

I have already started putting "bugs" in the ear of the powers that be, but of course have so far been told..."it's too far away to make any decisions". I will say, my chances are somewhat better, as I have a new shift mgr., and he and I get along VERY well, so maybe I can "sweet talk" him. I'm sure hoping. Since he is young and VERY good looking, perhaps we can offer him a date with Gatorhb as an added incentive!!!!
We have already taken care of getting a room at the Gold Strike for that weekend, so that we can be around our PSO friends as much as possible during that weekend. 8)
Any yes....... I AM EXCITED !!!!!

    Hey, this is serious!

I don't want to play in the PSO tourney if one of the stars is going to be sidelined................lol

I'm very hopeful that the management at the casino will realise that there's an enormous amount of kudos in this event for them. They've got players travelling to them from across the world to join in the fun (which is in no small part due to the efforts of PokerGoddess).

I've only ever played in Vegas before but if I like it here then I'll likely return, this not frogetting that to a large extent, the reason for me even coming to Tunica is because I've already been made to feel welcome by PokerGoddess and Win4Win (and I believe that's true of many other first time visitors).

PokerGoddess has helped promote this event for the good of PSO and for Tunica, they'll never beat the sort of honest publicity this event can bring in for them and PokerGoddess has been an integral part of that (for me, anyways).

So I'm not only hopeful that PokerGoddess and TheMoron will be able to join in with our action but I'll happily write personally to the management of the casino's explaining to them how much they mean to us and how well they've promoted the venue on behalf of the casino.

Let me know if I can Help.

    Regards

    A little chat with Jack.

    Pokergoddess

Keep us posted on your work schedule. Might have to give Jack a call and put some muscle on him. If he only knew how critical THE GODDESS IS TO PSO, he would melt in a sec. Hell, he might even just go ahead and cancel all the evening events as all the whales will want to watch the real pros go at it.

I want to add my best wishes for goddess and son to get the evening off for what promises to be a very fun event.

Allow me to suggest that, in the ARG tradition, each player bring a small gag gift to present to the player that eliminates him/her.
Actually make it a large expensive, from the heart gift, as I will not have to present one, just collect a few

And another thing, if the poker tourney is at 6PM, does this mean the golf outing is the morning of the 9th?

    Tina,
Thanks for your concern. I work at the Horseshoe, and TheMoron works at the Grand.
Like I said, we are going to do whatever we can to try to arrange that nite off. Hopefully, it will work.

    'Goddess,

I understand the position this has put you in. Asking to be off on the FIRST DAY of the PSO is not something to be done lightly. I hope you are able to arrange your schedule so you can participate.

We certainly are going to try to get that day off, but as you can imagine, this is a very restricted time as far as days off.
But...we will hope for the best !!

I would certainly echo Tina's sentiment about the much-deserved day off....can you guys explain how important this event is to you...and to US as your fellow PSO'ers? At least try?

    Thanks...

I have to work with what Tunica can offer to me.
The 9th is the first day of the WPO so all the dealers will be very busy around 12 noon when the event is due to start.
We have been offered a 6.00pm start and i really don't have anything that i can do about it.

Also Mark and I will not be arriving in Tunica until the morning of the 9th, as it is our sons 14th birthday on the 8th, and we will be spending the day with him in Texas.

Is there no way you can arrange to have the day off with this much advance warning?????

It would be lovely to have you both participate in the PSO event

Does the 5pm mtg time mean the tournament is going to be held in the evening??? If so...take Pokergoddess and TheMoron off the list, as we have to work in the evening. Was hoping this could be a noon time event.
