  • What I have learned...the PSO way

I have realized in the last week some things that have put my game and the league in a new perspective:

    1) Yes, I would love to win the $1500, but the consistency of my game is most important.
    2) The cards will fall as they may, and I just need to be in the right hand at the right time.
    3) If I play MY game and lose, it doesn't matter what else happens.
    4) Patience is still the key element and playing the best hand does matter.
    5) If I use what I have learned, my bankroll will increase.

I guess I had to post this because of all the comments I hear from people and the PMs I receive about how the PSO doesn't teach you to play real poker. Well, I have an increase of $45 in my bankroll, a chance to play in a $1 Million tournament, and a chance to play in the SCOOP that says it works.

the thing about the pso tourneys is, that u will see things in pso that u would never see in a real money tourney.

for example: blinding out even when the money is not in reach, for the sake of max amount of points for the leaderboard.

also, i find my game on the pso to be much tighter then when i play real money mtts.
mostly bc just getting positive points is more important than risking your stack early when u run into a maniac. when i play a 2 or 3 dollar buy in, and i run into a maniac early, im trying to take advantage, in the pso....i do try and take advantage but much more cautiously.

i find that my game in pso tourneys is generally a very cautious style, but if it leads to me high up on the leaderboard, im fine with it
