  • Mass tabling

I took this from another site... A supernova heads up player I am going to share a secret with you all. The key to learning poker is 1 tabling. The key to continuing to improve at poker is 1-2 tabling. Stop the mass-tabling, esp if ur at lower stakes. Practice doesn't make perfect in poker, practice make permanent. Cut back on your tables and focus more on improving your decision-making. The $/game that you gain from improving your strat decisions will eventually outweigh the money u were making from vpps. The average poker player is getting better every day - don't let your game stagnate and eventually find your game pretty far outdated. I was focusing on playing too many tables for a while the past year or so. I still worked on strategy a lot outside of sessions, so my game continued to improve, but it could have improved a lot more if I was able to think and implement new thought processes while I played. Cutting back tables is the most valuable lesson I've learned from talking to H2olga (Spamzor has posted this on 2p2 a lot as well). These are 2 of the best husng players in the world and they got to where they are mostly 1 tabling (adonis, icevenom too!). The key to your long term success is your short term decision-making. good luck There is no need to mass table if you cant learn while your playingumbup: follow his thread here http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...2011-a-926951/

    good stuff buddy!

Yea good stuff roomik. I have been reading on this as well. I think I do better playing only two tables at one time. I dont get bored and I can think on my play. I all so can pick up patterns that I could not find if I play more then two at one time. Six just kicked my butt so nah, no more or the 6 table thing.

More then two it feels like I am just clicking the mouse to stay up. Not to count my mis-click mistakes. This is IMO put I to am leaning to only playing two at one time. MTT or ring games.

Thanks for the post and the link buddy.

LMAO I have always felt playing more than two was bad news. At least for me it is.

Then you've failed to notice the game's moved on. It's ADHD nowadays

I was playing 14 plus tables . I have now switched to just 4 tables . I think in the future I may play 6 tables but at this point in time I will only play 4 tables at once. Playing too many tables does reduce your ability to make good decisions.

multi-tabling is tough I can only do 1-2 tables at a time. I don't see how guys like nanonoko can do up to 20 tables at a time but they do and make a profit from doing so. I like to keep things simple and usually do 2 tables at a time but sometimes I only do one if I'm doing particularly well at one table and struggling at another. umbup:

Most of the super nova elites play 24 tables at a time.

If any of you out there have experienced FullTilt poker, they offer what they call Rush Poker,,,,very similar to multi table play,,,you just sit there and fold a hand you don't like,,it moves you right away to another,,,fold,,,,fold,,,,fold,,,,AA OH, I'll play that one,,,,,ect. as fast as you want to go.....multi play at it's best. It was a Rush to say the least...So just play premiun hands, fold the rest. Minimal decision making and fast. It was all good til I got booted. But that's another story for another time.

I'm at the point now where 2 tables is enough for me. I look for a 10% return on my risk buy in. If I sit down w/ $10.00 I get up when I win $1.00......sit w/ $20.00, get up w/ a $2.00 win,,,ect

good for bankroll management. I don't lose very often. Just go slow and pick a spot,,,bingo

It's tourney play that I'm concentrating on now,,,that's a different critter altogerher.
