Good question. I too have been thinking about moving on to another site. The fun of playing here is gone ! I could list several reasons, but those whom have been here for a while, already know them. The only thing i have learned here are bad habits and how to become a donk. Now with over 15,000 players it will only get worse. PokerStars needs to change their format and scoring system. I doubt very seriously that they will consider doing so, because they are more concerned about their own bankroll and how many perspective players that they can get to join. PSO (was) a good starting point to learn the basics of poker playing. However, whats the use of learning when all the newbies and some of the regulars have to sitout or get eliminated for the first half of the game. If PokerStars would reprogram their system to deal hands more inline with live poker hands,....but then again in a perfect world.....Well its not going to happen. Not unless more players complain and,or there is a mass exodus of frustrated clients. I will play here part of next month until i find another site. Good luck to all the newbies and to all of the friends i have meet here.

Guys, if you want to go swim in a sea on Donks, run over to Full Tilt, it has Tilt in its name for a reason. I have played a lot of different sites and I can say that Poker Stars is the best I have played as far as online sites go. Trying to find a site that you can play on without the donk factor is goofy. It doesn't exist. As far as finding a site that plays much like it plays when it is live, I am not sure I understand that exactly. That can never happen because so much of live play is based on tells from a physical nature. The cards are the same. There is no difference between the cards in live play vs. the cards in online play. Well, there is one difference, you see alot more hands per hour online than you do live. Because of that reason you see alot more bad beats. I have played live for years and consider myself a live game specialist and I can tell you that the beats I have seen come live are the same as the beats you see online. There is no difference. Go try the other sites if you feel you have to, we will welcome you back when you come back. Take Care, and Good Luck.

I played at FullTilt before coming here. I agree with you. Not going back there...lol ! I also agree with you that PokerStars is the best online site that i have found so far....but you must agree that improvements or refinements should be made. However i do dissagree that online poker is just like live poker. Just my opinion. I have been known to be wrong 99% of the time.

I need to clarify something. I was referring to PokerSchoolOnline only. Im not familiar enough with the real money tables at this site to give an opinion.

Good of you to clarify about PSO vs PokerStars. Yes, the PSO is full of donks with more joining every month. We certainly learn patience in these games.

I have tried other sites, but Stars is the best for me. I play a wide variety of cash games, making me a jack of all trades and master of none. Stars has the choices I like. I agree with the others, the cards are the same live and online - same suck outs, same card dead streaks, same chat (good and bad). It just happens so much faster online.

Keep your PStars software on your computer. Let us know what you think of the other sites. Welcome back - if you choose to return. Good Luck either way.

Stars by far has the best tournaments, if you sign up for "other" sites make sure to do it through a rakeback site first, so you can make some extra dough umbup:

Over the last four years I've played on thirty four different sites. Of those there is only one that comes close to matching Stars. And even that only applies if you are predominately a cash game player.

If you're a "value whore" like me, there are often reasons to play the occassional game elsewhere. But I guarantee that no matter how hard you look, once you've built yourself a reasonable bankroll you will not find a better place than this to ply your trade.

I haven't tried other sites, so cannot comment. One thing I have noticed while window shopping at some of these. They too have started poker schools. At least I saw them advertised on the web sites for Full Tilt, Party Poker, and I think Ultimate Poker. Seems others see the commercial value behind hosting a school and a special league for these trainies.

So if you go to another site, and they also have a school. How about telling us how it compares to this one. Are the qualifications harder, easier, or the same? What's the donk factor like? Is there a prize for the league, and is it worth playing? Do they have cash prizes for the individual games, and how do they compare to PokerStars? Do they have a similar division between active, cash players, and whitestars? If there is a division, how hard is it to qualify?

Could ask more, but that would assume you would return. Wish you all the best of luck if you do find someplace more akin to your desires.

                        Value Whore

Dark, U mention Value Whoring other sites. I'm assuming that u mean things like good fr and promo's. Which is why I still keep up my silver iron man on tilt and academy fr every month. I was wondering what other sites besides the big 2 had good value promos. Would be good to get the skinny from a fellow PSO Value Whore, than to actually do the research. Thanks -Shark

You're currently 3rd in this league and your girlfriend sits top of the pile. Do you really think I'm looking for that kind of competition

On a serious note, with the exception of the one you mention and one other (that you'd like a slice of ) network, I don't think any of them are USA friendly. But if I do notice any Americans playing I'll drop you a line.
