  • Re-shove or fold?

It is $5.50 Super Stack tournament on FTP with 12min slow blind level and 5000 starting stack. I am not ITM but close. 264 entrants and 27 paid. Right now 42 were left.

    What should I do here?

Hi adikumar2010! With AQ, I'm going to make a standard opening raise. I then get a shove from UTG+1 and a play that sets off a big red flag from the SB, flatting for over 1/2 their stack. The flat is one of two things. It's either a monster hand from a player begging for action or it's a play from a new player. Even if it's from a new player that doesn't know better, I still don't like AQ in this spot, as I have an unmade hand against 2 opps (that can easily have me dominated or I'm behind a pair). With this being the case, I'd fold even if the SB was a bad player. If the SB has a monster, it's most likely AA or KK and even if it's KK, then the first shover can likely have an ace too, so I'd only have 2 outs to KK.. and I'm crushed by AA. I looked the player up and see that they are not only ranked very high, but have won multiple MTT's in the last month... so that makes me lean even more toward this being AA or KK and wanting to be in a 3-way pot. With all of this taken into account, I'm folding. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24) Tweet this hand on Twitter using the Tweet button above for a chance to win a seat in the next $5,000 guaranteed Big Bang tournament. Anyways I did call as I thought SB player will have Ax KQ and smaller pairs. I didn't believe he is trapping me with AA or KK.

If if I knew that SB player doesnt have AA KK, is it still a fold?

Against 2 players, AQ here is a fold.
