  • tricky spot with aces in a 1$ 180 man (regular)

well, the guy was a 42/22 and was very active, so i think to build a big pot would be a good idea, the problem is we were the 2 biggest stacks... we were on the ft bubble, and i 3 bet him for value , (i think i shgould have 3 bet him in a larger amount(, and on the flop, this kind off villian would raise any pair , and any draw, so i thaught it were good shoving here to get max value (im pretty sure he will call with any pair any gutshot , any flushdraw)is my thinking process correct? but in terms of icm is a mistake, but i dont know what to do ? fold for his raise? betting 2 streets and folding when raised?, i think i didnt play correctly so i want some opinions, i have trouble on this spots sometimes, cheers

    Hi scarface

I'd of played the hand the same way dude and your 3bet sizing is ok but I too would have made it a little more because we're out of position and also because we're both very deep so ideally you'd want to bloat the pot as much as possible, I'd of made it 4500 - 4800, or even a bit more if we know we will get action.
Cbet sizing is good and reshoving is perfect. You played the hand optimally versus this villain type.

The good money in the 180's is first and second. The pay jumps are very small and if we win this hand we put ourselves in great shape to take down the whole thing.

You even have 20 big blinds left if you lose the hand.

    Nice hand, well played.

    Cheers, Chris.
