Hi adikumar2010! With A4 on the button and two looser limpers in front, I'm going to make a standard raise here, which at this blind level is to 2.5BB+1BB for each limper (900). When the flop checks to me, without a made hand and especially without a heart, I'm going to check behind and see a free turn card. The turn gives me a straight and now an opp leads into me for a small bet. Due to not having a heart redraw, I'm going to call the 1095 and re-evaluate on the river. If I had A4o with the A of hearts, then I'd raise. If the other opp that originally checked, now shoves, then I need to fold, as this is most likely a flush. The bet here looks to me like it is most likely a pair or a big heart draw, so my plan on the river is to call or bet a non-heart river. If the river is a heart, I'll check behind if the opp checks and have to fold to a bet. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

I raised for value and to protect my hand as one more will kill my hand. So even if I raise on turn loose will never fold there or flush draw and they will not fold hand like 4X which gives them OESD on turn. And maybe not even A2, 34, 45, 56, etc. And Also if I play hand according to you and call his turn bet the pot will be 5070, so what will I do when he shoves his remaining 3401 into me on the river Pot will be 8471 on river and I had to call 3401 which is 3.5:1 if I need to make the call. Is there any way I can get-away from this *** TURN *** [ ] [] (Total Pot: 2,880, 3 Players) glevi247 checks BombayBadBeat93 bets 1,095 adikumar2010 raises to 4,542 glevi247 folds BombayBadBeat93 calls 3,401, and is all in adikumar2010 shows [ ] BombayBadBeat93 shows [ ] Uncalled bet of 46 returned to adikumar2010 *** RIVER *** [ ] [] (Total Pot: 11,872, 2 Players, 1 All-In) adikumar2010 shows a straight, Five high BombayBadBeat93 shows a flush, Jack high BombayBadBeat93 wins the pot (11,872) with a flush, Jack high *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 11,872 | Rake 0 Board: [ ] Seat 1: Zebrozaurus (big blind) folded before the Flop Seat 2: kalimov22 folded before the Flop Seat 3: PedroHM89 folded before the Flop Seat 4: Richyburner1986 folded before the Flop Seat 5: jermeey folded before the Flop Seat 6: glevi247 folded on the Turn Seat 7: BombayBadBeat93 showed [ ] and won (11,872) with a flush, Jack high Seat 8: adikumar2010 (button) showed [ ] and lost with a straight, Five high Seat 9: Duivelvis (small blind) folded before the Flop

If the opp shoves the river, then I need to see if I have a note on the opp about playing suited cards... if so, then it's an easy fold. If not, then I'm still folding to a shove... unless the opp is known to shove rivers as a bluff (then I'll cringe and call).

So can you plz explain why my reasoning to raise on the turn is wrong?

And if I play the hand on turn as advised by you, on river if he shoves then I am folding there everytime right?

PS: I didn't know much about him only 21 hands with insane 3-Betting %

I don't want to raise the turn because there are a number of hands that I'm already behind and also a number of hands that can draw out on me.
I don't want to risk 2/3 of my stack and value-own myself.
If the opp has a single heart and I get it in on the flop, then they get the full 4% per out.. which will price them in due to being guaranteed to see both streets.

If I raise, I'll get called only by hands that are +EV calls for the opp... which means that by shoving, I expect to LOSE chips by doing so.

            John (JWK24)

P.S. I can't raise to protect my hand.. because the opp doesn't have enough chips to do so.

NOT insane 3b %, that's a common miss use of HUD stats. Sample size ftw. If he was 1/1 that would not make him an insane 3-bettor but would read 100% on the HUD. Over 21 total hands this 3B% is probably 2/7, maybe he had 2 big hands... or maybe he actually is a wild 3-bettor... there's no way to know yet unless you saw one of the two and it was a wild light 3b
