  • Aces cracked by trip 7's - The Big $16.50

Should I have played this hand differently? Raised more pre-flop? Or slowed down during betting?

Also I've tried to upload the hand using the hand replayer but for some reason it's not working.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Lisa,

I would raise slightly more over the limper, 850 or something like that. If we get additional callers and the limper shoves his short 2K stack we can still reshove to isolate him.

The post flop play is fine if we don't have any reads on the villain. It's disconcerting for sure when we get min-raised on the turn for most of our remaining stack, but our hand is probably too strong to fold on this depth of money without a read that he would only raise with monsters.

Thanks very much for taking the time to respond. My 750 raise was too small I agree, if it were larger it may have gotten a fold from the pair of 7's.

Ah well, as long as I learn from it!
