  • Is this standard shove?

Is it standand shove with 18BB or can we argue for calling? As it is 15mins slow blind level deep stack tournament.

You really shouldn't be flatcalling too many hands that shallow, jam and don't be results oriented OP

Hi adikumar2010! With 18BB, this is a perfect sizing for a re-steal, so I'm going to be looking for hands to be the second one into the pot and to shove over the initial raise. I also have a stack size that can do a considerable amount of damage to the majority of the other stacks, which will increase my fold equity.. which means that I can be re-stealing with lighter hands (I do want to have hands with some equity, so that they are playable if I'm called). I get a min-raise and even have a hand at the very top of my range (would be looking to re-steal with even mid/small pairs and suited connectors down to 89s or 78s, let alone the better hands), so this isn't even going to be just a re-steal, I'm going to shove here for value. Unfortunately, the opp won a flip, but the hand was well played. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Thanks John, you explained everything very nicely and in complete detail. Can't ask for much better and deeper analysis than this.
