        Am I missing something?

You shove JTs with 13bb and he calls you with a little light and wins

Hate to say it but the worst mistake here in my opinion was the shove by you, as for me JTs is a hand to shove in the 5-10 range, with 13bb I am only shoving with cards that I would normally be raising with --- you have a good 1-3 rounds to survive a better hand and that's 9-27 hands better than JTs to wait for

him calling as light as he is is perhaps a judgement call, I don't like it but it's a suited King with Broadway card so aside from the fact he didn't have the stack to cover you enough, that is the only mistake he really made there as if he had you covered by more or you were shorter stacked that would have been a good call

I don't like that you reacted by calling him a donk
His play was a questionable one but it isn't like he had 38o of something, a suited King Ten isn't a terrible hand

Either way, by insulting him you left yourself get bothered by the play and in the long run if you react the same way you will tilt run you get against similar plays

What's the problem here? Shove is standard, call is light. Oh well. Good game. On to the next tournament.

What's wrong with them calling with 38o? That would be awesome! Our play goes from being +EV to ++++++++EV!

Due to the antes being involved. Your effective stack is 8bb and you're M is just of 5. I think shoving JTs is the best play here.

We CAN'T raise fold with our stack... we can't open fold JTs... so... SHOVE!

Hi Affluenza! With just over 14BB, it folds to me in the cutoff with JTs. When I go to my MTT open-shove chart, I should be shoving about a 31% range and JTs, while toward the bottom, is in the range (lowest is 78s). Now, we go to the opp's play. My chart has 12.5 and 15BB, not 14, so we'll go with 15 to err on the safe side. Their call range (although I'd re-shove to isolate) is 14%... 44+, A7s+, A8o+, KTs+, KQo. Due to this, I totally disagree with the donkey comment, as KTs, while at the low end of the range, IS in the opp's call range. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

u shouldnt act like that at the poker table anyway, even if they are a bad player and do crazy things, it is their money, and they can play how ever they want.... its our jobs to work out how to beat them umbup:
