  • NLHE / TT / Call fold, turn, river

Hi, Opp sat at the table a few hands before this one and had already opened once. When he did it in the first time (he raised to 400 PF instead of 459), he c-bet the flop with 800.

Hi shynleigh355! With TT, I get an opp that raises to 459 in front of me. Since both of us have 15x the bet in my stack, I'm more than happy to call and try to setmine. I also can make a standard 3-bet here, which I will do a % of the time so that I'm not predictable. I flop three unders and the opp makes a c-bet of 800. Since I did not raise preflop and this flop could very easily have missed the opp (missed all broadway non pairs), I'm going to raise the flop and size it at 3X the previous bet (2400). With an overpair to the board, I need to have either raised pre or on a flop like this or I will have no clue whether I'm ahead or behind. The turn J is a problem, as it's an overcard that could have hit the opp. If the opp calls a flop raise, then I'm folding to a turn bet as I'm most likely beat by a J or a better pocket pair. If the opp bets again on the river, I'm mucking. I don't want to check/call every street. I need to take the initiative in the hand by raising either the flop or preflop. By check/calling, I have absolutely no clue whether I'm ahead or behind, so I have no clue whether to raise or fold. If I'm ahead, I want to be betting and raising.... if I'm behind, I want to fold. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Hi, by raising the turn, aren't we only going to get called by stronger hands ?
