Hey all, this is my first time attempting this... hope it works.

Hi Answer71! Please always include what type of tourney the hand is from, as different tourneys have different strategies and we want to be able to provide you with the best possible answer. If this is a standard MTT: If I had an A or a better K (that I could make a straight or flush with), then I'd shove preflop. Otherwise, I'm going to check and re-evaluate after the flop. When I flop trip kings, I need to lead the flop. Bets postflop need to be sized based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With one opp in the hand, a standard bet is 1/2 pot, so I will bet 1300. I do not want to check as there are a number of straight and a flush draw that are possible. If the opp checks behind and outdraws me, it'll then be my own fault that I lose the hand. The same thing on the turn, I need to bet and now, since a 1/2 pot bet will pot commit me (over 1/3 of my remaining chips will be put into the pot), I need to shove. When playing hands, I want to keep all of my bets standard, as this helps to conceal the strength of my hand. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
