Unless the villain regularly bets into a turn check following c-bet (ie, floats a lot) you played well. A loose, habitual floater should be double barreled most of the time.

    Good decisions

Hi Freefall2008! Welcome to the forum. With TT from UTG, I'm going to make a standard raise, which for me at this blind level is to 2.5BB+1BB for each limper, so I will raise to 1500. I want to keep all of my bets and raises standard, as this helps to conceal the strength of my hand. I see a HU flop with one overcard, which can easily happen with pocket tens. Since I raised preflop, I'm going to make a standard c-bet. Bets postflop need to be sized based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With one opp, a standard bet is 1/2 pot, so I will bet 2115. The opp flats and I miss the turn. I'm going to check here for pot control, as the opp most likely has an A and has me beat here. The opp now bets just under 1/2 pot. Since I'm most likely beat, I'm going to fold here (the only way that I wouldn't fold is if I have a specific read on the opp that they will float the flop (call), then bluff later in the hand). While we'd like to be able to win every hand, it's not realistic and we need to show patience and wait for situations when I'm most likely ahead, not when I'm most likely behind. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
