  • Bigger 22 AJo in EP with 18BB stack

The opening villain seemed really fishy and was playing 35/19.

Am I too deep and is AJ too weak to be 3Bet shoving with here?

    Hi spand42

I think we're better off folding the hand but not because of the fishes range but because of all the players left to act behind us. If we were in late position then I'd liek to cram it in vs these player types but reshoving an utg raise with 18 bb's from UTG+1 is too much of a risk imo.

    Cheers, Chris.

I agree with Chris here. With a 35/19 baseline I'm not sweating the raise from the UTG player and it in a better position would probably sprain a digit punching the all-in button so fast (provided we have enough hands on UTG player that the 35/19 read is somewhat solid and not gleaned off just a couple of table rotations or so...).

Problem is that's a lot of players left to act that we have to fade with a hand like AJo. From UTG+1,and with 18BB left,I'm inclined to pass on this spot myself. Maybe not always, but certainly more often than not.

Looking back on my stats from when US players were on here for money (and we hope to be again, fricking dumbazz gov't willing...),I know that AJ was NOT a good hand for me at all and it looks like it was mostly from overvaluing it in spots like this one.
