  • $1 27 man SNG FT - Tough spot or easy fold

Hi, This is a hand from a $1 27 man SNG on Full Tilt that I would like some feedback on. I cannot get the replayer to accept FT games so please excuse the format. Should I have shoved here instead of raising? I felt I was beaten on the flop, did not want to believe it and told myself I had outs for a straight and the nut flush and called his shove anyway. I'd fold and wait for a better spot.

I don't mind the Cbet on the flop, but I'm with birdayy, you shouldn't get too stubborn with KK on an A-high flop when the villain is showing a lot of resistance. He doesn't know you have KK, he's got to anticipate you having an A a lot of the time on that board so I think he is never bluffing here.

Hi IBNash! With KK preflop, I'm going to make a standard opening raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper, so I will raise to 3BB. I see a very bad flop for KK, as this flop reacts very well with the opp's range. I'm going to lead here and size my bet as a standard 1/2 pot bet (3BB). The opp now shoves. With as wet as this board is, overcard, flush draw, straight draw, made straight and it's easy for the opp to have two pair too... while I do have a premium pair, this is definitely a board that I need to fold on when the opp raises as there are way too many combinations of cards that can beat me. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Shipping KK on that flop is not a good idea instead of the pot sized bet?

I don't want to make either a pot bet nor ship the flop. I want to make a standard 1/2 pot bet and see what happens. By making a pot-sized bet or shipping, I'd value-own myself... everything worse will fold, everything better will call... the exact opposite of what I want to have happen.
