Hi tha-she! With AQo from middle position, I get a limper in front of me. I'm going to make a standard raise, which for this blind level is to 2.5BB+1BB for each limper (1050 chips). I then get a shove and two calls before it's my turn to act again. While AQo is a strong enough hand to shove with under the right circumstances, it is not a strong enough hand to call a shove with and also is a hand that plays very badly postflop in multi-way pots. Due to this, I need to fold to the shove and calls. If I did see the flop (which I would not), when I see that I hit top pair, I need to make a standard value bet, which for 2 opps left in the pot with chips is to 2/3 pot... BUT... this is over 1/3 of my remaining stack, so I need to shove. I really don't like having to shove here against 3 players, but it's the only alternative that I have left. The key here is to muck AQ preflop to a shove in a multiway pot. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
