  • Bluffing out side of the box ?

Ok I may be way off here ! but these 2 were fairly tight with stats of 20/7 and 20/11 I originally called to set mine, but after seeing flop against 2 fairly tight players thought If I was to check raise this flop it would put alot of pressure on both players. The result of this hand was surprising the way it played out. would like some opinions

Fold pre. We aren't deep enough to be calling with hands like 66 because we can't set mine.

If you are playing this hand it's a shove, but given the positions that raised this is a pretty standard fold.

    Check/shoving is just pure spew.

Hey Chuckkky, Personally, I wouldn't have just called that preflop. For me with those stack sizes it's either all-in jam or fold. The plus side of folding is that your on the button next hand, so you'll get a full orbit to see if you get a better hand for shoving. A double-up here puts you right in there for contention. If you're going to shove the flop when you you completely missed and have almost no fold equity, you may as well shove pre, when there's a small chance that both villains will fold, or call with worse.

I'd fold pre for the reasons given by Birdayy and royal.

Thanks for the replies. The more I think about it your right I should of folded pre flop. But was in a gambling mood. The funny thing is they both called and neither had a spade. they had AA and AK. Guess the turn card

          OOPS [/spoiler]

I think birdayy has summed this one up nicely and for what it's worth even if we had a spade in our hand the shove would still be very bad! Your chances of getting called are just too high to consider this speculative shove.

            Nice turn though! Cheers, Chris.
