Hi sapines1001! With A9 and 10BB, I either need to shove or fold and I'm going to shove. This is actually eerily similar to how I went out of a $340 HPT live tourney today. In mine, I had 8.5BB and A7o from UTG, shoved, and got called by MP1 with AKo. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Hmm this is borderline. I think you've got enough chips to let the blinds go through you and find a better spot. A9 shapes up badly against almost every hand that will call you. Even if someone calls you light with KQ or KJ you're not that far ahead.

I think AJ or ATs would be my minimum from UTG 7-handed with an M of 4.2.

Even if the blinds go through you, you might be able to shove with a worse hand in later position with fewer people behind and get your blinds back.
