  • Was I wrong ?

This from a Bankrollmob freeroll, most players are very loose. I had only been at this table for two hands, so no real reads. Was I very wrong to call this shove ? Hi Bill! With AKo, I get a limp, then an abnormally large shove by the second opp. To say this shove is fishy is an understatement, as a standard raise for them should be to 3BB+1BB for each limper (400). Whether I call the shove here or not will be 100% totally dependent on my read of the opp. If the opp is tight, then I'll muck. If the opp is loose, I'm calling. With this being a freeroll, especially with no read, I'm going to opt to call here much more than I'd muck. I'd definitely be making a note on them for next time. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

      Freeroll...mook shoves 50 bigs into a 2.5BB pot...screams of "I'm a fish!"...minus gold plated notes to the contrary I'm ranging him/her as such...so 100% range...AKo plays 65% against 2 random cards...

Question is do we want to be putting our chips in with a 65-35 edge here? Unless this is some sort of ticket freeroll that plays more like a satellite than a standard MTT,then I'm looking for smart spots to gamble a little and get some chips as running deep for the bigger money is what I'm angling for.

This is one of those spots,I'm getting it in much more often than not here.

      Better luck next time,Bill.
