  • Call or Fold? 90man $1.5 KO

It's early in the tourney.Call or Fold? or would you play it differently during preflop, flop, and turn? I will appriciate any feedback. Opponent's stats is VPIP/PFR/Steal Total 30/8/33 over 41 hands.

I would shove OTT, so what hand he represents? AJ,AT and flush . but pot is so huge I wouldn't fold OTR.

Either shove turn or shove it.
As played I guess we have to fold river, although it sucks.
We do have enormous odds to call, but he won't be bluffing much there.
I think shoving turn saves us from that weird spot.

Hi ggervacio! With QQ and a min-raise in front of me, I'm going to make a standard 3-bet to 3X the previous bet (180). I see a semi-coordinated board (JT of diamonds). When the opp checks, I'm going to make a standard c-bet and with 1 opp, the standard sizing is 1/2 pot, so I will bet 203. I don't want to overbet here, as players that do so are giving a tell for either a monster or air (and with the 3-bet pre, it's almost always a monster). I want to keep all of my bets standard, so that the opps are continually guessing as to the cards I'm playing. Players that bet more with better hands and less with worse are basically turning their cards face-up to an observant opponent... something I definitely want to avoid. The turn puts a third diamond on the board and when the opp checks to me, I don't even have a pot-sized bet left and any standard bet that I make definitely pot-commits me by putting over 1/3 of my remaining stack into the pot. Due to this, I'm shoving the turn. Yes, the opp could be ahead, but I'm getting the correct odds to play and especially in a KO tourney, can get called by much worse hands that are looking for a bounty. When playing these, always remember that the real money is in a top 3 finish.. NOT in trying to get a bounty. Trust me on that one, as my last bink before black Friday was in one of these (but they were $1.40 then, not $1.50). Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
