  • Calling all in late in 180 man Tourney

Final 15 in $2.50 180 man. I have a relatively decent stack (greater than average) and would probably make the final table easily. I always find myself wondering if I should call in spots like this or wait for a better spot (first in shove from MP/LP). I think if I only look at BB, M, chip equity.. etc then its an easy call. I would like to get some opinions on spots similar to these and what hand ranges would you call with. I always play to win so I dont just want to make final table. Hey Shyko

I wouldn't say that you have a greater than average stack with just 10 bb's and at this stage of the tournament with your small stack I wouldn't hesitate at all to get it in with the AQ in this spot.

My calling range in these spots vary, if I know that MP3 is a good winning player then I would be comfortable getting it in with A10+ 88+ but I adjust this range accordingly to how wide I feel villain is shoving.

Imo we shouldn't be contemplating about folding spots like these just to make the final table. The pay jumps at the 180 man final tables aren't significantly large anyway because of the 180 man cap so there's not an awful lot of icm considerations to think about.

    Cheers, Chris.
