  • League Qualifier QJs

168 entrants , my position 95 out of 97. I need to get into 40 to be in 25% of players. V8's VP43, that's why I thout that I won't have a chance to steal his blind . V6's VP34 and it's wider from small blind , and B VS B I'm in a position . QJs play good on the flop and I got one of the bests, Did I make right decision ?

Hi Shichi-77! The key number here is 95/97... that means that I need chips badly, as there aren't players behind me that I can outlast by not playing hands. I'm also a long ways from being ITM and positive points, so I need to try to make something happen. When villain 6 min-raises, since I'm IN postion, I'm going to call here and see the flop. If the situation was reversed and I was in the SB, I'd shove. With the opp being very wide here, I'd have no problem shoving preflop too (I'd only do that due to my tourney position though). the flop gives me an OESD and 2nd pair. While the opp could have Kx from the SB... there are plenty of hands they have that are much worse than mine, so I'm at least calling here and will shove at least 90% of the time here, if not closer to 100%. If I had a stack, then I'd just call here and see if my hand improves, but being 95/97 with basically no chips, I'm getting them in the first good chance that I get with some sort of made hand and my pair of J's qualifies. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
