sry about the title, its 9 players not 18 im thinking this shove was a mistake now that i look back on it. i had a few beers that night. i was trying to suck out but if i checked the flop id still have chips left. if i hit i would have doubled up. 30% chance to hit if the villain has a queen or he could fold...

    Hi lou,

With you having less than a pot sized bet left neither villain is folding a Q. They're probably not folding JJ or TT either would be my guess. You can get them off of AK/AJ/88- perhaps. I think the shove isn't too good into 2 players, would have more merit into 1. Although I agree that it looks more attractive through beer goggles.

The other problem is the preflop call. With 12 bb's we should be in push or fold mode after someone has opened for a raise. Our hand is way too weak to shove over a 3x and flat call as our fold equity is minimal and both players rate to be ahead of KT, so this is just a fold preflop.

As an aside, if it folded around to us, I would be good with shoving KTs from the SB into the BB's stack size here.
