  • fold KK preflop????

im either on tilt or have a really bad downswing right now. ive lost $30usd in the past few weeks playing $1.50 STTs and a couple MTTs. i seriously cant win a single hand right now unless everyone folds to my preflop raise. its driving me nuts. the downswing is putting me on tilt.

this last hand i played just did it for me. the blinds are 25/50 and i reraised the hijack to 300 while in the big blind. he goes all in.............. do i fold or call, which puts me all in with aprox 1500. so i call with KK and buddy has AA.

is my downswing over or is this kind of crap going to continue?

    Hi loucetios!

Even the strongest players with the highest winrates go on bad runs where they're card dead, can't hit a flop, or keep losing to suckouts. Variance in poker can be brutal. Maintaining your discipline and dealing with tilt is a key skill to master. You certainly can't fold KK pre-flop, and if you're even considering it, you're showing signs of tilt. When that happens, it's time to take a break. Watch some training sessions or do some reading to restore your confidence. Poker will still be there tomorrow, so give it a break and maybe you'll be luckier when you come back.

    Cheers,
