  • $4.40 Sattie - on the Bubble

    http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/rep...ash=6DDD67F680

I'm not posting this in the bad beat section because I think it was my idiocy that caused me to bubble the tournament.

All I had to do was fold, and I had the T$ in the bag, I knew it was stupid to shove. I knew it. I went ahead and did it anyway. It would have been my first satellite into a tournament.

    I feel like I have lost $100.

My only question, and it is more like confirmation of what I already think, I had to fold it didn't I given the situation?

If anyone sees me in the street please hit me with something blunt and hard.

Hi bhoylegend! There are two places where I would fold AA preflop. One is later in the month early in the skill leagues. The other is on a satty bubble. When playing a satellite, the one and only goal is to get the ticket. Once I obtain enough chips to get one, there is nothing that would ever make me play a hand... regardless of what hand I'm dealt. The only thing that can happen is that I lose the hand, my chips and my ticket. If I needed chips to get my ticket, then I'm absolutely shoving here with AA. If I have enough chips to get the ticket, then I'm check/folding every single hand until I get my ticket. Everyone is going to make mistakes at the tables... the key... is to learn from each one of them, which will make us better players in the long run. That is the ultimate goal. Good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Those rockets are just so hard to fold, even when you KNOW it's the right thing to do. I've been in the same situation, the only important thing about this hand is, did you learn from it...
