I prefer to fold in this situation. The raise preflop was good, maybe the bet on flop could be 3/4 pot. When I do a strong bet on flop but receive a big raise like that I prefer to fold. Try to cut the result of the hand in replay.

Hi RomeWu! With KK preflop, I'll make my std raise, which for this level is to 2.5BB+1BB for each limper, so I'll raise to 500. The flop brings three unders with possible flush and straight draws. The opp leads into me for a very small bet (1/3 pot) that would price in any of their draws, so I would want to raise with KK. I would make a std raise, which for me is between 3X their bet and a pot-sized raise (1200-1600). With this being the range, I'll raise to 1400. I don't want to raise less than this, as if I do, I price in the opp for any of their possible draws. When the opp makes a very large shove over me, unless I have seen this opp bluff/shove in the past, I'm going to muck here. With the opp calling the preflop raise, donk-betting into me on the flop, then shoving... they most likely have some sort of made hand and my KK can't beat 2 pair nor a set. Even having to muck, I still have over 15BB, which is a very playable stack for this type of tourney. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

The way it played out I thought for sure he was going to flip over a set when you called his all-in. Your play up to that point was fine. It's easier said than done and I know I've done the same thing knowing it was a mistake but sometimes you just have to suck it up and muck the pocket Ks when you know your beat.
