  • Call / Fold?

guy playing loose and aggressive. 2 questions should I have checked flop to begin with? but did not so should I call shove?

    What is the format?

That would play a big role in my decision, but it is only the 7th hand, you have the nut flush draw but the shove says I have a big part of this board. I would not have a clue about the odds side of things but you still have a playable stack if you lose, so I would lean towards the call.

Oh and I am always making a continuation bet on that flop

    Cheers,

    TC

Then I am definitely calling, whether that is the correct play or not I am not sure

Cowboy would be the best man to comment.

Hi DiveAllIn! Preflop, with AKs from UTG, I'm going to make a standard raise, which for me is to 3BB. Is 4BB your std for this level? If not, then I'd recommend making a std raise as it helps to conceal your hand. The flop gives me 2 overs and the nut flush draw. With this, I want to make a c-bet, but I want to keep it small enough that I'm priced in. Due to this, I would size my c-bet at just below 1/2 pot (125). The opp now shoves, so I need to determine whether or not I've got the odds to call. It will cost me 850 more into a pot that will be 2270 (37.4%). I have 9 outs to the nut flush (36%), plus possibly 3 outs each to an A or K (12% per card if either are good). If only the flush is good, then it's a marginal play, but if either an A or a K would be good, then I have plenty of equity in my hand to make the call and have it be a +EV play. Especially if the opp was playing loose, then I'm making the call here. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
