  • $3.50/45 man KQo preflop decision

Should I be calling in this situation, or is folding the best line so early? This was the third hand of the tourney. I would raise if the pot were unopened and call facing two limpers. If my cards were suited, I would be more apt to call. Thanks for your input! Roland GTX

Hi Roland! I agree with your thought process here. Thanks for putting it into the post, as it is definitely relevant. With this being the 3rd hand, this means that there most likely aren't any reads on the opps yet. If the pot was folded to me here, I'd have opened for a normal raise. I also agree that if the pot was limped into by the two opps that I'd call here. With a raise and a call in front of me, I would muck KQo here too. What I would like to see happen is for the raiser and caller to go to showdown, so that I could see their cards and how they played them, to be able to start to form a read on these players. I would have done the exact same thing in this situation, without reads on the opps. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

      it's a good fold

too early to be put in a bad situation

what if you flopped a K or a Q you still can't play it for the whole stack, they both might have you dominated easily

      very dangerous hand to play

Thanks guys! I have been accused of playing "tighter than a frog's a**" LOL. I just wanted to check that I'm not missing an opportunity in this situation.

        Thanks again
