I'm not sure I would've made the preflop raise there. the suited connector is nice, but odds are you'll have to play them out of position, and that sucks if you don't hit the flop. Also, your UTG raise leaves you open to 8 guys 3-betting you, and are you willing to call off another 15% of your stack with them, knowing there might still be people left to act behind you if you had callers?
You say you have chips, but look at the others, the stacks are fairly even, so you could be playing for your entire stack if the flop really decides to screw you over.

Agreed - the flop is great, but you did catch the dunmmy end of the straight. JT already has you dead, an hands like AJ, AT, KJ, KT are drawing to a lot of outs on you.

That said - I think what I said first is the problem with this hand: QQ should never have flatted behind you. he's got 7 people to act behind him, and they're all priced in to call as well. If even one of them has an A or a K and one of those flops, he's drawing very very thing with his premium hand.

Then back to you - assuming QQ guy did what he should have done (imho anyway), which is raise to about 1100 - would you have called that with the 5,6 ? If the answer is no, I think a UTG open-raise is the wrong play here.

easy answer - if someone reraise me auto fold no problem for me wasting 360 i have chips.i will never call any raise even min raise

the play is this - raise pre then cbet if opp played back instafold no problem. that's what you need to do if you have chips. you need to chip up without showdown.

Hi Marvin, Preflop, I try to always raise from UTG if I'm opening. 56s is normally a weaker hand than I like to open with out of position, but if it is opened from UTG, I like the std opening raise. 2 opps call and the rest of the hand is out of position. Flop: Bottom straight. I would make a value bet here, because of flopping a straight and to protect against a flush draw. The first opp min raises and second folds. With this action and a made straight, I'm definitely 3-betting in this situation. For the size of the 3-bet, I normally like to use 3X their raise as a baseline. If I make a 3X raise here, then I'm putting 1/2 my stack in and since I'm committed to the pot, I'm making my 3-bet a shove. This also maximizes fold equity. When the opp 4-bets, with a made hand, I call here every time. I agree with your thoughts about the opponent with QQ, as I would have 3-bet preflop with it. Nice hand and good luck at the tablesumbup: John (JWK24)
