  • KQh hand for evaluation please.

I don't think I played this terribly, though I'm wondering if my call to see the turn was a spew (long term). Any thoughts are most welcome.

I think I should have raised on the flop after the first villain bet (no idea why I didn't). The villain's stats (behind me) were 11 / 8 / 10 over 102 hands.

I think you played the flop just fine. I'd just call there most of the time, but re-raising and stacking off is OK too. I have no idea why you folded on the turn though. You have the second nuts, and villain can have a set, two pairs, or a pair with the nut flush draw. Of course he can have the nuts sometimes, but it's "monsters under the bed" syndrome to fold the turn here.
The thing is, if you call pre-flop with KQs, then your aim is to make a strong hand (two pairs or better if possible) and get all your chips in. Since you made the second nut flush, it makes no sense to fold it. I'd be getting all in with a 3-high flush if I somehow had 32s in my range.

Thanks, Arty. I will think at length about what you said. The more I go over what you said, the more I wonder why the hell I folded. I suppose I shouldn't raise on the flop unless I had the nuts.

Incidentally, do you know of any information that can help with calling, e.g. I open with a raise (holding KTo) to isolate one limper, get called and the flop is J93 rainbow. Villain leads into me, should I raise or call / fold?
