  • 5NL zoom - SuperNova alert! We squeeze btn KQs ...

Had a moment "what do I do" a SuperNova opens +1/hj 6-max and the co over calls. Do we want to call KQs not completing the action, or is a button squeeze correct?

Didn't have a complete plan in my head at this point - what if the SN (assume more experienced) decides to 4bet do we fold or see a flop in position?

A partial result as they did fold but still one caller, flop 849r and just cbet. Again with out much thought to a possible x/r. Is that a "dry" flop with 3bet action - what 99/88? Do we fold to a raise or not cbet flop?

Thinking of mistakes just being side tracked because a SN is playing 2c/5c.

Squeezing and calling pre-flop are both fine. If MP 4-bets, you should snap-fold. Think about it. How often is KQ the best hand in a 4-bet pot? What exactly does it beat?
When you 3-bet/squeeze with KQs it's a semi-bluff. Often you'll win the pot immediately, but if you're called you have a chance to make a hand. If you get re-raised, you have to fold because you have king high.

As played, the cold caller usually has a mid pair, so this flop actually gives him a set or overpair quite often. Checking back is an option (no need to fire more money into the abyss after the squeeze didn't work), but c-betting is probably +EV, since you have king high and that's not going to win at showdown and there's a reasonable chance villain has something like AQ/AJs. If villain donks out or check-raises, you fold, obviously, because you are never ahead.
