  • 25NL Zoom: Missed Flush

Opponent is 19/9, fold to steal 83% (56 hands) I open suited King on button as happy to play versus fishy looking player in position. He's donked once out of 5 sample. Happy to call and see turn with flush draw. Is my turn bet a mistake? I bet for value as I think he could call with a lower two pair or even QJ, but not sure if it's better to take the free card. Is my river call too loose? His WTSD is only 29%.

What hands you are beating on the river?
What hand is he representing on turn? why is he scared of king? or maybe he is not? give you a chance to have a flush and then take your stack? for me after he calls my turn bet I finish with a hand, OFC if he doesn't bet the river i check.
Plus board is pared so we don't aim for flush any more.
We see what the semi-pros her on forum say but i think you make a mistake on the river, MAYBE also turn.

      Hi carl,

Raise pre is fine, and I think calling flop is correct. I don't like betting the turn. For one I do think a 19/9 guy might play a ten this way sometimes. For another, when he's just got a pair like 4x or 66, I don't think we are getting called much. We are basically value betting vs. other flush draws here, but it seems pretty thin to me.

River is a fold imo... this guy is somewhat passive and has now taken a second aggressive action, and on the river. He's going to show us a ten or better the large majority of the time imo.
