  • Should I Fold on the River? - 2NL Fullring Cash Game

I can’t decide whether I should have called this river bet Stats are 15/11 over 53 hands with an AF of 0.7 and a river AF of 50%(2) this player has a WonSD% of 100(2). I know the last two are a very small sample size and did not have any impact on my discussion to fold but thought I might be worth mentioning. Thanks for the help Michael

So far, the villain appears to be a tight passive sort of player. I don't think you did much, if anything wrong in the hand. C-betting the flop is fine, as also a delayed c-bet on the turn would be (the latter would probably work better when in position, though).

To sum up, I think you were right not to call the river bet. In the future, keep an eye on this player, and if he continues to remain passive, alarm bells should ring when he makes a bet or raise in key spots (especially if you are out of position).

I would have 2nd barrel the turn for sure. your hand might be good and you gained some outs and you have blockers to all straights. if str8 hits, bet river else check/fold.

As played, I would always call river for 10 cents just to satisfy my curiocity, but thats just me. #IHateFolding
