  • Flop Decision to Make - 50NL Cash Game

Villain(85 hands): 23/14/2.0 Plays 1 table from Finland. Flop decision.... yikes. 225bb deep

Flop is pretty dry, and its not a board that we will put enough x/raises on. Overpairs, sets, and two pairs all should go into our calling range I think.

I like lead calling atleast then we can get raised by over pairs or complete bluffs but when you get 3b i think he has to be bad to raise an over pair and then all that happens is you see he is a 1 tabler and think he can do this with an over pair for 200bb.

It was a weird spot. It's not impossible for the villain to have a set of 6s or 7s but I'm blocking those sets. I didn't think they would raise with a set of 3s considering we're deep. I didn't know what to do here.

As played, I think just calling the villain's 3bet OTF would be bad, so I think I put myself in a shove or fold situation OTF.

Like Geo said I think just X/calling here OTF would have been a good option instead of the XR.

I really should have let this one go. Villain had 54s which I didn't even see as a possibility!

          Hand was played @ 12:30am...

Really like Mikes point. I would expect a reg to be bluffing this spot a lot, but a 1tabler? It's really rough because they might play aa/kk like this. We know that it's very possible they play the 9 combos that beat us this way, but not the overpairs. As we have such terrible equity versus the value hands we're losing to, I don't hate folding. I honestly don't know what i would do in game.
