  • QQ all in pre-flop in MTT

Hi all, This is my first hand review - should be pretty straight forward. 250 cap $1.00. There are 95 ish players left, 54 places paid. I find myself busting a lot when there are around 5-10 players left before the cash. pre-flop raiser has VPIP of 23 and PFR of 21. what is the correct action here? I feel QQ is a bit weak to chip in here when I believe i'm probably flipping. I feel 3 - bet fold was wrong, so it should of been a straight shove or fold - bearing in mind the stage in the tourney? (EDIT: The caller, was fish. with VPIP of 40%+ and PFR of 5%, so i kind of ignored him)

Instead of betting to over 1700, just shove preflop. Whenever 1/3 or more of my chips go into the middle, I'm pot-committed and can't fold.. so if I can't fold, I want to get the chips in first.

      well it was a trap.
Shove preflop is correct play but thats what villain 3 counted on - that someone will shove on his 2,5x bet that looked intentionally weak.

really hard to walk out of this trap.all u can count on that sometimes u flop a Q and will double up. lol

      theres no easy answer.

I think I'm shoving here too. It is a good spot to pick up a pot and when somebody calls you're in a good shape most of the times. I also played some of these 250 caps and villains are raising often with worse, like 99 / A10s etc. Unfortunately you ran into KK, but you can't do much about that.
